The Secret to Freedom
There’s just something about a good TV show, am I right? I’m really into police shows. The shows where they are trying to find the person who has committed the crime. Every episode at least one person ends up in this tiny room with the detective on the other side of the table trying to get what? A CONFESSION. A confession could be the thing that moves a case from being open to being closed. More times than not, it is also the thing that puts that person in prison.
When it comes to the idea of confessing something to God or others, we take that same mentality. We don’t confess, because we want our freedom. We don’t want to confess and lose our freedom. You see, in the economy of God, confession is the thing that can bring about freedom.
Galatians 5:1 - “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
So today, if you are holding on to your confession in fear that it will limit your freedom and bring about condemnation, I urge you to reconsider and confess to your good God in heaven. He will show you grace and mercy and you will experience a freedom you’ve never experienced before!
